Lou Collier Baseball Association Announces Hitting and Defense ClinicsLEARN FROM A PROFESSIONAL
Lou Collier has 15 years of professional baseball experience. He has played for Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, Milwaukee Brewers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He is currently the scout for the Kansas City Royals and the president of the Lou Collier Baseball Association. His focus is to help develop the youth spiritually, mentally and physically. HITTING CLINIC (starts October 22)Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays * One hour sessions between 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm Each hour-long session will focus on enhancing player’s strengths and improving on their weaknesses. Coach Lou coordinates training through various structured drills, tee work and medicine ball routines. Players will be in a group dynamic where they will develop strong work ethic, learn specific drills to enhance their swing mechanics and improve overall strength. DEFENSE CLINIC (scheduling now)Fridays 6pm – 7pm; 7pm – 8pm Designed for the more advanced player, this clinic is presented to players ages 6-18 to improve and enhance their footwork, fielding and throwing mechanisms through intense drills and workouts. The workouts will focus on the Major League fundamentals and will enhance technique, quickness, accuracy in throwing, range and overall mental approach. Everyone will be grouped according to their skill level. All defensive lessons will be group sessions with two professional coaches.
